Renew Your Strength
Isaiah 40:29 – 31
“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Many people have the tendency to look for special places in order to find inner peace, strength, and joy without remembering or even realizing that the only source of it all is close to our heart. We can never rely on our own physical strength which prone to decay. Naturally, our metabolism slows down much earlier than we might think, at as early as 25 years old. As individuals age, body fat increases while lean mass and bone mineral decreases.
But, never grow weary and know that God our Father has promised strength and power to those that wait upon Him. The word ‘gayah’ means to wait and to hope. A quiet time taken in fasting and praying is needed to break us free from other worldly things that keep us bonded and refocus our thought to Him, His works, and His glory.
Be calm. A calm attitude reflects humility in front of God, admitting that we solely need His help and believe that His timing is always perfect.
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Whenever we feel weak and feel that we are overcome by our problem, remember that our salvation and protection is in Him. He gives us spirit of courage, not spirit of fear. He is our strength and hope and He will not let us face our problems alone.
